Product Details

The TruBlue™ SafeLine is the ultimate controlled descent device, protecting dropped people and objects while allowing dynamic movement without nuisance lockups.

ANSI Z359.9 Conforming, SafeLine’s self-regulating magnetic braking system is the result of years of research, development, and testing. Our technology was originally designed for climbing safety with 60,000+ TruBlue’s in use around the world, providing millions of controlled descents every day.

Unlike manual belay or self-retracting lifelines that catch and snag, TruBlue SafeLine protects people and objects with smooth, repeatable descents, allowing dynamic movement without nuisance lockups.

The SafeLine is available in one webbing length:

  • 41 ft (12.5 m)

Advanced Technology

  • Unlike SRLs or Yo-Yos, SafeLine is engineered to withstand repeated descents.
  • Provides protection while allowing freedom of movement without nuisance lockups.
  • Self-regulating magnetic braking technology offers a consistent, controlled descent across the approved weight range.
  • Designed with high-quality parts for indoor or outdoor use.
  • Minimal maintenance and low cost of ownership.
  • Available with five webbing connection types to fit your facility's needs.

Common Questions

Looking for a little extra help?
How is SafeLine used now?

TruBlue Safeline is one device with many missions. Currently, you can fine SafeLines in fire and utility worker training facilities, a crucial part of emergency egress systems for marine ferries, attached to machinery in dropped object protection plans, and more.

How often does a SafeLine need to be serviced?

TruBlue SafeLine requires service inspections 15 months after the manufacturing date and every 12 months thereafter to ensure a high standard of performance and safety. We offer a SafeLine Service Subscription program, which provides a quick swap for a recertified fleet device with zero downtime, as well as other benefits. You still own thedevice.

What mounting height is SafeLine compatible with?

SafeLine with 12.5m (41ft) webbing:

  • Maximum mounting height of 12.5 m (41 ft)
  • Minimum mounting height of 4.5 m (14.8 ft)

SafeLine with 20m (65.6ft) webbing:

  • Maximum mounting height of 20 m (65.6ft)
  • Minimum mounting height of 12 m (39.4 ft)

It is important to note that the maximum and minimum mounting height limits listed for all SafeLine models are requirements, not recommendations. To ensure safe operation, devices must be mounted within the specified mounting height range.

The mounting height for all SafeLine models is measured from the nozzle of the device to the ground.
